The broadest measure of the market, the Liv-ex 1000 index, rose 1.3% in April, setting another record at 460.95.
Like the Liv-ex 100, which rose 0.7% last month, the Liv-ex 1000 has made steady but cautious increases. For the first time this year, three of its regional sub-indices dipped.
Burgundy and Bordeaux led the market in April

Since the start of the year, the Burgundy 150 sub-index has seen the biggest monthly increases. The sub-index led the broader market once again in April, rising 3.5%.
The Bordeaux Legends 40, which has lagged behind the others in the medium and long-term, came second with a 1.6% increase last month. The broader Bordeaux 500 was also up 0.4%.
The Rhone 100 ran flat, while prices for wines from Italy, Champagne and the Rest of the World dipped.
